AB Ruarai, Kenya Filter 250g
Flavour Notes: Redcurrant, stone fruit and cacao nib.
From the Roaster:
The Ruarai washing station?! This Irish-looking name means ‘place of rocks’ in Kenya’s Kikuyu language, inspired by the rocks in the river that flows nearby. Several hundred smallholder farmers from the slopes of Mount Kenya bring their coffee to the Ruarai washing station each year for processing. The area’s rich volcanic soils contribute to the intense, complex, and flavour-dense coffees that this area is famous for. We find this coffee has an excellent acidity, with berry notes followed by hints of cacao on the finish.
